In accordance with a graded approach to quality assurance, the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) has developed a reduced scope quality assurance program specifically tailored for programs and institutions conducting basic scientific or engineering research.  This program is ideal for universities and research centers that require a formal quality assurance program, without the complexities associated with conventional quality assurance programs.  Notwithstanding its reduced scope, the NSHE Basic Research Quality Assurance Program is designed to be compliant with DOE Order 414.1C and NQA-1-2004 for basic research.

As with the full NSHE Quality Assurance Program, this basic program is university-based and is available for implementation in both private and public organizations.
