Title of Data: Southern Great Basin Digital Seismic Network (SGBDSN) waveform data for local earthquakes, 1995-1999

Description: The data consist of seismic waveforms recorded at the stations of the SGBDSN (Southern Great Basin Digital Seismic Network) for local earthquakes during the period 10/01/1995 to 12/31/1999. The data are contained in SAC-format files and are organized according to ASCII tables in the CSS3.0 (Center for Seismic Studies Schema Version 3.0) database schema.

Comments: The reduction of these data was performed using the computer software listed below. Although these software programs were not qualified, their use was permitted in accordance with QA procedures in effect at the time of their use (AP-SI.1Q) as they were determined to be industry standard software (See MOL.19990930.0216, MOL.19991015.0214 and MOL.19990930.0214). The submitted files are in binary format and require special software (SAC V.00.46, STN: 10085-00.46-00) in order to view the data.

(See comments)

Acquisition/Development Method: Continuous and triggered seismic data was acquired at the Nevada Seismological Lab and processed to form a catalog of earthquakes in the vicinity of Yucca Mountain. The waveforms associated with each event were first converted to SEGY format and then to SAC format. The ASCII database tables were built in the preliminary processing of the events and contain the pointers to the waveforms.
